Because if people aren't able to clearly see what's in your video, they will stop watching and won't come back. That's why having the right lighting setup is something you should always keep in mind when you're making videos. In this vlog, we've collected 5 simple and useful tips for setting up effective lighting for your videos. Learn how to set up the right lighting in your home at no cost: Tip 1. Position yourself by a window, not against a wall. Step forward, and keep some space between you and the wall. This will help to not only avoid unwanted shadows on the wall, but also separate you from the backdrop. It looks much better in the video. Tip 2. Use manual camera controls. If your camera supports manual settings, use them. Set the Shutter Speed to 50. Try to keep the Aperture lower, as this lets you create a brighter frame. It's better to keep the ISO below 400 to avoid noise in the video but if the frame is still a bit dark, you can increase it a little. Tip 3. Create Fill Light. Tip 4. Add Back Lighting and Task Lighting. Tip 5. Tweak the color correction settings when you're editing. For better results, We recommend using the color correction setting in your preferred video editing program. Liked this video?
